Terms of service
Last updated 8 September 2026
Rate My Singing is run by Bhuwan Shrestha, an individual, based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Using the app means agreeing to this.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13. You can browse and listen without an account; posting, rating and replying need one.
What you post
Post only your own singing — your voice, recorded by you. Covers are welcome; credit the original artist so people can find the song.
You keep ownership of your recordings. By posting one you give us a licence to store it, stream it to other users, and show it in the app. That licence ends when you delete the recording, except for copies already in backups, which age out.
Do not post:
- Someone else’s recording, or a commercial track.
- Anything you do not have the right to sing publicly.
- Abuse, harassment, hate, or sexual content involving minors.
- Anything designed to mislead about who is singing.
We can remove anything that breaks these rules and close accounts that keep doing it. Reports go to a person, not a filter.
Reviews
Rate the singing, not the singer. Reviews exist so people improve; cruelty dressed as honesty is still cruelty and will be removed.
Credits, analyses and purchases
Credits are earned by reviewing other people and spent on posting. They are not money, cannot be bought, and have no value outside the app.
Analyses are bought through Apple or Google, or earned by watching an advert. They are consumed when used and are not refundable by us — refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, under their rules. Unused analyses are lost if you delete your account.
Prices may change. Anything you have already bought is unaffected.
Advertising
The app is free and carries advertising. Under-18 accounts receive restricted, non-personalised advertising. You can remove banner and interstitial ads with a one-off purchase; rewarded adverts remain available because they are optional and they earn you analyses.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless we are prevented from doing so.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. The automated analysis is a measurement of your recording, not a professional assessment, and nothing in it is a judgement of your ability. We do not promise the service will always be available or that nothing will ever be lost — keep your own copy of anything you care about.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
