Designated agent

Notices go to our designated agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office:

Sending a notice

To be effective, a notice must include all of the following:

What we do

We remove or disable access to the material promptly, and tell the person who posted it what was removed and why.

Counter-notices

If your recording was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include your signature, identification of what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address — or, if you are outside the United States, to any judicial district in which this service may be found, and to accepting service from the person who complained.

If we receive a valid counter-notice we forward it to whoever complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly infringe are terminated. We keep a record of notices in order to identify them.

Misuse

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please be sure before you send.
